My newborn sessions combine gently posed photographs with relaxed, natural lifestyle images at my Hatfield studio located in Doncaster. From tiny details to cuddles together, there’s room for both beautiful portraits of your baby and family photographs with parents and siblings when you choose the family package.
Sessions follow your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeds, changes and settling. You don’t need to worry about knowing how to pose I’ll guide you throughout.

NEWBORN SESSION FAQs
A few helpful answers before your newborn session at my Hatfield, Doncaster studio.
When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking during your second trimester to give you the best chance of securing availability. Get in touch with your due date and we’ll pencil in two possible session dates around your baby’s arrival.
Once your little one is here, simply pop me a message and we’ll confirm the date that works best. I usually aim to photograph newborns between 5 and 14 days old for those sleepy, curled up photographs, while always following your baby’s comfort and pace.
If your baby has already arrived, you’re still welcome to get in touch let me know their age and I’ll check availability.
What if my baby cries or needs feeding?
That’s completely normal! Sessions follow your baby’s pace, with time for feeds, nappy changes and cuddles. There’s no pressure for your baby to sleep throughout their comfort comes first.
Can parents and siblings be in the photographs?
Yes! My Golden Newborn packages include parents and siblings, alongside individual photographs of your baby. If you’d prefer photographs of just your newborn, my Little Newborn packages are designed for baby only.
What should we wear and bring?
Simple, neutral clothing such as cream, white or beige works beautifully for family photographs. Avoiding large logos and busy patterns helps keep the focus on you and your baby. However, these are your photographs, so please wear whatever feels comfortable and suits your own taste the most important thing is that you feel like yourselves! This is just a guide as this is my most asked question.
Bring your usual changing bag, plenty of nappies, milk if bottle feeding, and a spare outfit for your baby.
How long does a newborn session last?
Baby-only sessions usually last around 1½ hours, while sessions including family photographs average just over two hours, if your baby is settled and needs fewer breaks.
I allow up to two hours for Little Newborn sessions and three hours for Golden Newborn sessions, giving us plenty of time for feeds, changes and cuddles without feeling rushed.
Can we include our family pet?
Yes, of course! Your family pet is welcome to join in. Just let me know before your session so I can have treats, water and a fresh blanket ready to welcome them.
